The Russian Grand Prix is over and there are mixed emotions about the race. But lets start from the beginning. Lets start with the Pre-Race Press Conference.
In FP1 the track was very slippery and the drivers were struggling for grip. In FP1 there was a red flag because of Esteban’s Ocon Force India engine cover blow away. Kimi Raikkonen set the fastest lap.
In FP2 Sebastian Vettel was the fastest.
Ferrari had their first front row lock-up since France 2008. Sebastian Vettel took pole position followed by Raikkonen and Bottas. The time difference between the first three cars was under one tenth. Hamilton came in fourth with a half a second gap.

Fernando Alonso retired during the formation lap. Valteri Bottas had a great start and was in the first place before the first corner. Jolyon Palmer and Romain Grosjean crashed together in the first corner and they were both out of the race. After the first corner there were literally no overtakes in the race. There was no action until the last laps, when Sebastian Vettel was closing down on Valteri Bottas but was unable to overtake him and finished in the second place with a time diference of 0.6s from Bottas. Kimi Raikkonen completed the podium.
